Who it’s about

Dolce & Falcone is an Italian pasticceria from Wuppertal. Known for handmade almond pastries, crostatine, and small specialties that are selected piece by piece in the store.

This selection process is part of the product itself.

The task

Dolce & Falcone wanted to sell online without losing the in-store experience.

The problem was not the shop. The problem was the box.

Customers should be able to assemble their own pastry box: fixed quantity, free mix, different prices per piece, allergens, ingredients, and nutritional values directly on each product. A standard shop can sell individual items. It can also display variants.

But it does not understand a pastry counter.

What we built

We built a custom Pick&Mix configurator.

Customers first select the box size: for example, 12, 18, 24, or 46 pieces. Then they assemble their box from the individual pastries. Each product has plus and minus controls, its own unit price, and detailed information.

The configurator counts in real time: how many pieces are already in the box, how many are still needed, and what the selection costs. The selection remains visible instead of only appearing in the cart.

Each pastry has a detailed view with flavor information, allergens, nutritional values, and ingredients. The decision is made where it belongs: at the product.

In addition, there is a classic shop for finished products, a homepage with entry to Pick&Mix, and a reduced design that gives the pastries space: plenty of calm, minimal decoration, a clear black-and-white system with red as an accent.

What changes as a result

The online shop does not just sell pastries. It replicates the actual purchasing moment: selecting, mixing, checking, completing.

This is not a “nicer” shop. It is the digital pastry counter.
